  • AE022 - Requires the Reverse Automatic Braking (RAB) option. This is not the same as rear parking sensors. Please do not order this type unless you are 100% certain you have the RAB option. If your vehicle has RAB, there will be a box mounted under the left seat just like the one in the install video. (The left seat is the driver's seat in North America)
  • AE038 - Fits all North American Subaru Forester trims and options. Installs overhead behind the stereo camera similar to how the AE026 installed into previous model years.

Installation was a snap!

Easy Installation

The installation took me about 30 minutes. Including re-watching the installation video. I did remove the cover of the braking module. I slid the seat full forward, got out a 10mm socket and removed both nuts on the cover. (After the installation and upon further review, I probably could have installed the Eliminator without removing the cover.)

I un-made and made the plug connections and then started the car. Worked as advertised. I then tie-wrapped the Eliminator to the cable as the video mentioned. And snugged the cover back down.

I "usually" remembered to disable the auto-stop/start function after starting the car. But my wife, who seldom drives the Forester, never remembered. So this will be a help to her. And to me too, not to lie.

Having the AutostopEliminator is GREAT!!!

Having the Autostop Eliminator makes driving simpler! Now I don't have to remember to hit a button every time I start the vehicle. Sounds easy, but if you're in a hurry, you might forget. Then at the next light, the vehicle stops! This, in my opinion, puts unnecessary strain on the starter and battery. Honestly, this option should be standard on every new vehicle.

The Autostop Eliminator fixed the only thing that I disliked about my 2022 Forester Touring. Auto stop nearly kept me from buying the car.
Autostop is a great product that is easy to install. The device is well made using quality electrical connectors and cloth type wire harness tape.
Very happy with the way it works.
