While our device connects to the stereo camera on the EyeSight system, we do not hack the vehicle to make our device work. The stereo camera only serves as a location to connect our device to the vehicle network.

I received my A.S.S. eliminator today and installed it straight away with no real problems. It took about 20 minutes once getting the cover off, which took longer only because I was concerned about breaking something, such as the "clips" referenced in the above video. But as a review on another site describes, there's really nothing to break (see pics of a clip below and hole it plugs into-- very sturdy). I got my fingertips between the plastic cover and ceiling fabric and pried it off at each of 4 points indicated in the video then let it hang.
The only other thing that slowed me down was being super careful unplugging the wire from the stereo camera, slow to realize this wire is electrical-taped to the frame a couple inches from connection point, causing me to think something was catching inside the connector (realizing this I just pulled a little harder with finger suppressing tab and it disconnected, no need to cut tape or anything). I feel foolish now but worth mentioning maybe.
So the rest of the installation went smoothly and, careful to line things up properly between cover and mount, popped the cover back on. You wouldn't know anything is different from the outside.
This was my first time modifying anything on a car and I found this a simple operation worth the cost.
It arrived on the 6th day from order date (regular USPS delivery) coming to AZ and I'm extremely happy with it. From the very first time starting the car after installation, autostop function was turned off and now it stays off. Problem solved!

While I wish it was less expensive, it works as described and takes only 5-10 minutes to install. Very happy with the purchase and would recommend.

I am highly impressed with this product. Not only does it function exceptionally well, but its installation process is also remarkably straightforward. I currently own a 2024 Outback, and I intend to purchase one for my vehicle as well.

I watched the installation video a couple times, and afterwards got the auto start/stop eliminator installed in about 10 minutes. It works flawlessly, exactly as described. It makes the Subaru Legacy work the way it should've come from the factory, imo.
