This port is located in the steering column and can be accessed easily by removing the three seven millimeter screws from the lower steering column cover. Refer to our installation video for the specific location.

2. Turn Off the Vehicle

Ensure that your vehicle is turned off before plugging in the AutoStop Eliminator. This is a standard safety measure when working with electronic devices.

3. Plug in the AutoStop Eliminator

Once the steering cover is removed, you need to separate the upper steering wheel trim from the upper portion by pushing inward and upward. Then, disconnect the steering column control module and insert the AutoStop Eliminator and mount the device to the upper portion of the factory wiring harness using wiring harness tape.

4. Start the Vehicle

Once the AutoStop Eliminator is plugged in, put the cover back on, making sure it snaps back into place all the way around. Then, start your vehicle as you normally would. Then push the Autostop Eliminator button to disable the auto stop. The device will remember your preference for the auto stop feature being on or off so you don’t have to push the disable auto stop button every time you start your 2020, 2021, 2022, or 2023 Lincoln Aviator. 

5. Leave the Device Connected

The AutoStop Eliminator is designed to be a plug-and-play device. Once connected, you can leave it plugged into the steering wheel control column. It will continue to work whenever the vehicle is in use.
